Hi Michael,

Profiles sound like they might be fun for users but I would hesitate
to complicate the initial user registration with too much form data to
fill in by the user. Extended user information
(interests,MSN,ICQ,Avatar,etc) would ideally be supplied at a later
point by interseted users.
