Talking about it and throwing ideas around is nice . .
. but he's asking if he can write the article.  You
guys need to be clear with him.  If someone wants to
co-write it with him, say so now. If not, tell he he
is welcome to write it and that you are all available
(or not) for interviews.  If you don't want him to be
the author for the article because you're going to do
it yourselves, you need to tell him.

Please give him a clear response - yes he can write
it, yes he can write it with somone, yes he can write
it with some other condition, or no he can't write it.
