Thanks Nick

Getting proper information is like pulling chickens teeth sometimes.
Very difficult.

To make things worse, we do not control our auth-server - it is
contracted out, and running somewhere around CS 1226 or so.

Anyway, I ran this through my router access and here is what I got.
Wish I could go look and try in the server, but I cannot. I have
created a Captive Server, and plan to try it out there first chance.

Many thanks.

wdctl is the command to start|stop|restart and view status information
on your wifidog process. It installs, atleast on my server, in
/usr/local/bin/wdctl. Just type wdctl and it should present you with the
options available. I was in the same boat as you, in order for me to
restart I had to "kill" the process. This works much better! :-)

If it doesn't respond anymore, it could mean a deadlock.
What's the wifidog version?

That shows that as far as the process is concered nothing is
happening.
It is waiting for incoming network connections but not seeing
anything.
