Hi All,

I have started a Drupal module that implements a captive portal and
login dialog in Drupal for use with CoovaChilli.

See: http://drupal.org/project/Hotspot

While designed to work with CoovaChilli as the access controller
software (replaces the WiFiDog Gateway component), the project could be
expanded to include more types of access controllers.

I completely agree with Dana that Drupal is a good platform to leverage.
It has content management and social networking features that many
captive portals could easily use. Really, there is no end to how you
might combine Drupal modules and such.

Cheers,
David

PS: You will find CoovaChilli already included in many third party
firmware distributions, commercial products, and now on your Openmoko
phone! :)
