To add to what Damien said, it cannot be commited as is.  There have been 
fairly extensive discussions on IRC on how this is to be implemented (forgot 
to save the log unfortuantely), and everyone seemed in agreement.

There is no need to modify the gateway or gateway config at all to get this 
feature, but the patch needs a little more work.  Don't worry, it will get in 
eventually.
