[isf-wifidog] Problems with the installation

Hey there,

I¹m very new to Wifidog. In fact, I just installed it yesterday on an
OpenBSD box.
You may have noticed someone told you to use the command Œyum¹. Check out
Fedora¹s write up on yum: http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/yum/en/. Also, this
may be a little too basic for you, but it might help:
http://www.fedorafaq.org/basics/. There is also a little bit on yum here:
http://www.fedorafaq.org/#installsoftware. I spent about 20 minutes trying
to figure out how to search for packages online but I guess you can just use
yum to do that. I can share with you that the chances of finding almost
everything in package form is quite good. OpenBSD which does not have the
user-base or support like Fedora had almost everything except a couple of
PEAR modules (you can get pear modules with Œpear install <name>¹). Oh and
a note to save you time: Don¹t try and install magpierss, Phlickr and Smarty
right away. When going through the install process (pointing browser to
install.php) Wifidog will tell you were to put those packages.

Good luck.

Oh now I have a question. (By the way, I searched through the subjects of
the archive of the mailing list until Dec. 2005 and came up with nothing.)
I am trying to figure out why at the top of my wifidog auth server¹s pages I
get this: ³Warning in /classes/Locale.php setCurentLocale: Unable to
setlocale() to parameter: en_CA. I tried en_CA.UTF-8, en_CA, en.UTF-8, en,
and got return value: C/en_CA.UTF-8/C/C/C/C, current locale is:
C/en_CA.UTF-8/C/C/C/C² So on and so forth. What should I be setting my
locale to? I have tried en_US and gotten the same result. I have also
tried en_US.UTF-8 and en_CA.UTF-8, both of which break wifi-dog auth.

Thanks,
Drew
