This is something I'd like to fix eventually on the auth server:

Usernames are not case-sensitive.

I find this is a problem. For example, there are two Boris, and  
boris. Philippe and philippe. etc.

People coming back after a while might have forgotten that they  
spelled their username with capital letters, so they'll create  
another account.

I know we can't just fix this quickly, we'd have to tell all the old  
users who have duplicates that they need to recreate, that their new  
username it X, etc. but I'm expecting that this email will raise a  
flag and things eventually will get done :)

If not at the database level, an strtolower() for both verification  
when signing up, and authentification, would fix it pretty easily by  
making the requests lowercase (once we get the 'notify user' part done).
