	Most linux distributions are fine. I'm not 100% sure as to which
version of PHP to install, but it shouldn't be too hard. The PHP website
is a good place to start form.

	But first, you'll need to have a database running. We use
PostgreSQL and you can find RPMs for it at their download site (see
http://www.postgresql.org/). Configuring the database can be a bit
daunting at first, but PostgreSQL has a decent manual on their web
sites and you can dig up a few links to books from the website. I
know that Bruce Mumbjian's book was on the web and the O'reilly one
as well.

	When you do install and/or compile PHP, make sure that you
build support for PostgreSQL. Also, it sometime is easier to get PHP
to work with Apache 1.3. I'm not sure if that's still the case now.
