I just want to make note of the reason why it's my preference :)

By having br0 as "wired ports" or lan, and br1 as the wireless or 
"wifidog enabled bridge", you can then make any port of the switch join 
the bridge by tweaking some of the config. In case you want wifidog to 
do something on a wired interface (we have this setup at utopik, one of 
the port goes to the other router for the outside antenna which 
requires wifidog activated so the parc doesn't get open access).

It's just a matter of flexibility "in case" we need to do it, if you 
don't need to you can make it with no bridge at all.
