My previous email suggesting a protocol re-write and a sample auth  
has not had it's day (yet).  We're having a developer meeting  
sometime where we'll discuss this among other things.

Regarding the existing auth-lite directory in the CVS repository,  
it's completely written by Alexander so I'll let him answer in  
regards to its status.
